Raceway mounted channel letters are attached to a long rectangular box known as a raceway. The raceway serves two purposes, it serves as a group mounting mechanism for all of the letters as well as a housing for all of the wiring, transformers and other electrical components. These channel letters are easier to install than individually mounted letters. It allows for a simpler wiring scheme inside the wall.
